So that you can continue to enjoy good oral and general health that you have invested in, the following tips will ensure the longevity of your new implant and crown restoration.

1. Limiting pressure on the area where the Implant and Crown is restored.  A professionally fitted mouth guard is absolutely necessary to avoid pressure from grinding and clenching. These forces can generate many different problems to your jaw, gums and newly installed implant crown.
   

2. Avoiding foods that require too much pressure to chew. This is important for the first 3 to 4 weeks after Implant restoration is completed.(eg. Steaks, Raw Carrots, Almonds or hard candy & etc). For Front tooth implant placement, avoid biting into apples or corn on the cob.
   

3. Keeping your hygiene appointments every 3-4 months. Crucial and absolutely necessary for your warranties to remain intact and of course for the health of the rest of your teeth.  Our Hygienists are professionally trained for the proper cleaning of your new Implant and Crown restoration.
   

4. Dental implant and the crown attached to it is to be treated the same way as your natural teeth. Regular maintenance and possible other treatment may still be needed in the future.
