Meet Dr. Farrag

Dr. Farrag a distinguished professional in the field of oral and dental medicine, embarked on an illustrious journey that began with the attainment of a BDs with honors from Cairo, Egypt, in 2006. Early in his career, he embraced a dual role as a teaching assistant in the School of Dentistry while simultaneously practicing as an associate dentist. In 2013, seeking new horizons, Dr. Farrag ventured to Doha-Qatar, where he continued to contribute to the field of dentistry through their practice. Eventually, the call of Canada resonated, and it became his adopted home. Driven by a commitment to excellence, he successfully completed the Canadian equivalency process, earning the privilege to hold a dental license in British Columbia. Never one to cease in the pursuit of knowledge and professional growth, Dr. Farrag currently stands as a distinguished MSc and Diploma in Prosthodontics Candidate at the esteemed University of British Columbia. In addition to his academic endeavors, he is a clinical teaching assistant at the School of Dentistry, sharing their wealth of experience and expertise with the next generation of dental professionals. Dr. Farrag’s narrative is marked by a relentless dedication to the dental field, spanning continents and embodying a passion for education, clinical practice, and ongoing scholarly pursuits. Their achievements include receiving the Association of Prosthodontics of Canada Award for Academic Achievement in 2022 and the American College of Prosthodontics Education Foundation ACPEF Research Fellowship Grant in 2023.
